ABOUT BIG ACH ABOUT BIG ACH

Hello, and thanks for stopping by. My name is Ahmed Elattar, I am a Strategic Planning and Business Development Manager involved in the manufacturing field. I am also an SFPA Certified Personal Trainer, and of course if you are here then you probably know by now, I am also a competitive natural bodybuilder.
I was born in Cairo Egypt, but I was blessed to have had the luxury to travel and live in many different countries all over the world.
My introduction to bodybuilding came at a very young age. I have been interested in the sport for as long as can I remember, even at the age of 10, when I was a small skinny boy I wanted nothing more than to grow massive arms and huge pecs. I remember when I was a child and being picked on and bullied a lot, I know a lot of people say that same boring story, but it was something that I had to deal with on a DAILY basis after school, on the bus ride home, and during recess on the playground. I remember watching the old Arnold Schwarzenegger movies and the Jean-Claude Van Damme movies, and I'd tell myself, thats how I want to look like, thats how big I want to get. It was my dream. When I came to America in 1996 and started the 8th grade, a friend of mine talked me into playing American Football, a sport I had never even watched before. I excelled in the sport very quickly, and by my Junior year in high school I was the starting Nosegaurd on our Varsity team. Through football I was also introduced to the weight room, I trained with very heavy weights and a lot of explosive movements, at the time I had my heart set on playing college football, and this is how football players trained. We concentrated very much on heavy compound movements and explosive technique. I found my body responded really well, my strength coach at the time, Billy Miller, saw my dedication which caused us to do a whole bunch of training sessions together. Slowly I began drifting away from some of the football-style training, and started to do more "bodybuilding routines". I played many other sports as well in High School which included Track and Field, basketball, and lacrosse. But none of these sports really attracted me the same way which the weights did. My love for bodybuild grew daily and I was finding myself in the weight room between practices, in the morning before school and even on weekends during my free time.
Training continued all the way until I graduated and went on to college. Then one day, I woke up and decided that it was time to take things to the next level and to become a competitive bodybuilder. Once I made that decision, I also came to the conclusion that I was also pretty much set on remaining natural my whole life, it was just a personal decision that I decided to make and stick with. I gave myself a one year deadline to add more size, and then to diet down. I began searching on the internet for natural organizations and finally lucked out when I met Matt Shepley, the president of OCB (www.theocbwebsite.com). One year later I did my first bodybuilding show and was incredibly satisfied with what happened. OCB is an incredible natural organization and really takes care of its athletes, I was quite lucky to do my first competition with them, and was told by many who have competed elsewhere on how spoiled I was. My wife, family, and friends have all been very supportive with my quest to become a bodybuilder and I owe so much to them for all they have done for me.

The most satisfying thing about all of this is that my dream from when I was a young child was to become a competitive bodybuilder, and today I am living my dream each and everyday.... No one can ever understand how this truly feels unless they are living their dream. I've seen many people say "I wish I could do this or I wish I could do that" and I'm here to tell you that, if you haven't done it yet, that means you probably don't want it as bad as you claim you do. Go after your goals and fulfill your dreams, if you want it that bad then nothing should stop you. I will probably never be Mr. Olympia or a top IFBB Pro, and my decision to stay Natural has not changed, and with that I've set it in stone and carved it deep into my heart that with that, I am going to be the best damn natural bodybuilder out there. This is a journey that will never end!!!!
